Fun at the park with my #CountryKids

Aren't we all ready for some warmer settled weather?  The last few weeks have been so up and down, getting the kids out in the fresh air has been more about dodging the cold and rain than enjoying spending time outside!

Getting out, however, is absolutely essential for my two.  They're both fresh air addicts and love to go anywhere outside.  So we headed for a local-ish park the other day, and took toddler girl's toddlebike and a football for a wonderful hour in the fresh air.

They both love playing football, and our son tries to play the 'cross bar challenge', hitting the ball on the bar which holds the swings.  He wins some amazing virtual prizes when he manages to hit it!

Toddler girl loved riding her Toddlebike rounnd the climbing frame too, but most of all she loves to go up and down the slide and really high on the swings.  She's very good at kicking the ball though!

Both kids came home with colour in their cheeks and wonderful smiles.  It was definitely worth dodging the rain for.

  1. There's nothing better than dodging the rain and getting some family fun fresh air, it really does brighten the mood of the kids. It's great that your son's practicing his football skills trying to hit the crossbar, I love that he rewards himself with imaginary prizes when he completes it too! Thanks for linking up with me on Country Kids.
