Random acts of kindness

Listening to Chris Evans this morning, I loved hearing all the random acts of kindness in his top ten-uous.  You can hear that it made a difference and lasting impression on people's lives.

So I'm declaring Tuesdays as my random act of kindness day.  I promise, at least once a week to do a random act of kindness and blog about it on Tuesdays.

Would you like to join in?  I'd love to hear if you helped someone, or if someone helped you.  It can be big or small, but must be kind, and random (of course!).

So today's random act of kindness from me....
  • I finally spoke to a lone Dad in the school playground this morning, who has looked intimidated by the gaggle of Mums chatting for ages.  He was lovely, and seemed grateful to speak to someone!

I'd absolutely love to hear yours... please leave a comment.

  1. Fab idea and post - love it. My random act of kindness this week was at the supermarket. We were at the check out and a man came up to the lady who was serving us - he had 3 kids with him. He'd forgotten to bring a pound for the trolley. The assistant wasn't allowed to lend him one so I gave him a pound. Looking forward to checking out post next week #pocolo

  2. Lovely idea - I suggested the same thing for the people at the Advent house group I am leading. My ROAK was to wash up after junior choir practice saving the vicar a job. She seemed unfeasibly grateful! (it's a busy season!) Popping over from #pocolo

  6. What a lovely post, and I'm sure the dad in the playground really appreciated it.

I bumped into a neighbour last week who was in a pickle as she usually works from home on a Friday but had to go into the office. Her train would only allow her to pick up one of her kids on time, so I collected her 5yo from after school club with my 4yo and brought them home for a little playdate. This allowed her to pick up her 1yo from nursery without being hit with a late fine. The kindness was swiftly returned to me on Weds when she took my 4yo to school because I was coming down with a sickness bug, and another friend brought her home for me. Kindness really is all around, and it's heart warming to be on the receiving end of it #PoCoLo

  10. Awwww I really like this... Wouldn't the world be such a nicer place if everyone did at least one act of kindness a week!?... My act of kindness this week was making a felt snowman for my mum to stitch on her Jumper so she could wear it to her works Christmas do. :) #pocolo

  11. Great idea. But oh dear I can't think of a specific random act of kindness I did this week except let my husband sleep in last weekend.

  12. What a fab idea! It's so important to remember to be kinder to people, for no reason. The world will be so much better if we all did that.
My random act of kindness this week was volunteering to help in my kids school.
